FrostbiteT44 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Ive looked at other posts but have not solved my probs. Ive been burning a few blu rays which have been superb! For some reason It just started to happen and seems like my playback on every disc skips. Ive tried defragmenting my hard drive etc and reinstalling the imgburn program. Nothing! In my logs in doesnt show anything is wrong or atleast any yields. Its skips from the beginning through out and every once in awhile it stops for about a chapter and starts again. Any Ideas? Its worked well but then stopped not sure. I bought my discs from japan 25g sonys and JVC 50g from japan at smartimports.com. I burned about 15 blu rays so far with the 25g and 1 whith the 50 but my last three have been really choppy. Here is a log as well, dont be fooled about the buffer threshold thing it still skips even without those yields. I 21:31:15 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Skips are caused by discs that the playback device cannot read properly. Now it could just be that the playback device isn't good at reading full stop, the discs might be crap in general or it could be that your drive did a bad job of burning them. So really your options are: 1. Clean the lens in the playback device with a cleaning disc. 2. Use different discs (with a different dye).

What is different dye mean? is it a different color of the bottom of the disc?
Cynthia Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 The red marked Disc ID is the "dye". I 20:24:19 Source Media Type: BD-RE (Disc ID: TDKBLD-Wfa-00) (Speeds: 2x)
FrostbiteT44 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Ok! This is what I found. Unfortunately I havent solved the problem yet. But I have burnt Tokyo Drift with a 25 gb disc and when i put it in my standalone blu ray player the playback skipped! I was hoping that is wasnt my blu ray burner going bad which I only had for about a month and a half. So I went ahead and burnt Yes Man which has previously worked for one of my other discs which was the same brand, so i decided to burn on the same blu ray disc that tokyo drift was burnt on which had skipped and burned yes man over it on the same bd-re. And guess what Yes Man Worked!!!!! no skipping or anything perfect! Just to let you know i also burnt the first fast and the furious on a 50gb, but the 2nd and 3rd does not work and skips!!! Tokyo drift fit on a 25gb disc but skipped so Yes Man was written over it and worked! So what I am thinking is that there must be something about 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift with extra protection or something that anydvd isnt detecting or imgburn. Lightning what do you think? P.S- sorry for the repetitive sentences but i figured it would make more sense and in laymen terms.lol.
spinningwheel Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 We do not discuss ripping in this forum. Your problem sounds like you have a processing problem. Use Google and all will be revealed.
FrostbiteT44 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Any leads you can help me with spinningwheel? besides just google? Thanks for the reply!!!
FrostbiteT44 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 I really dont know because my pc doesnt support blu ray play. My LG BE06LU10 burner does support playback but tryed to do it on my comp and wouldnt work! I tried windows media and quick time but nothing unless there is some other program that will allow me too! Im just thinking what the hell, that it worked with one movie but not the other on the same disc.
FrostbiteT44 Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 Just to let you guys know that I just burned Transformers without any probs either. So there must be something up with the fast and furious 2nd and 3rd dicscs and bed time stories as well. I dont see anything wrong with the back of the discs so there must be something that anydvd isnt breaking or something! Let me know what you all think?
spinningwheel Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 so there must be something that anydvd isnt breaking Seriously Frosty, you're getting us into muddy water here and I'm trying to help you understand our policy. Your question is better off asked and answered HERE>
