mmalves Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I 22:40:43 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: SONY16D1) (Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x)I 22:40:43 Write Speed: 4x Try burning at 6x or 8x. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on that burner. If all that doesn't help then you should try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks.

Burn was at 4X, disc was cleaned before burn, lens was just cleaned last week,I doubt if the Sony media caused this problem. Edited September 25, 2009 by Jimbo
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Well if it wasn't the media, it was your drive, take your pick. Something about your drive/firmware/media (and to an extent, write speed) just didn't place nicely together that time and the drive reported a 'Write Error' during the burn. If it's just one failure, forget about it and move on. If they're all failing then obviously you need to change something.
