Cynthia Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, cwilliams! You have one write speed to try with and that one is already used. I also tried to find an updated firmware, but no luck. Your only option is to use another brand of media. The Program Memory Area Update Failure error, is it only with this burn or you have managed to burn with these discs before?

cwilliams Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Which speeds have you tried? Is it always the same error? Have you tried with Verbatim blanks? tried 6x, aws, max. dont have the verbatims but i guess thats next unless someone can think of something else. after i got the burner it made 4 perfect that was a few days ago. then today noda
mmalves Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Then you got a batch of really crap discs because Pioneer burners can burn pretty much anything you throw at them. On another note it would be useful if you could try burning on another computer, just to rule out a communication problem between the burner and the computer.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I don't think that's a real error coming from the drive so it probably is a comms issue of some sort.
