jak skrilla Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 i've burned 2 dvds and they come out fine...........then all of a sudden it says "Device not ready (Logical unit not ready, Long write in progress) ...........i can't fix this..........i've looked all over for the answer........people will talk about it in post, but they don't say how to fix it...........i can't burn nothing now...........i've uninstalled and re-installed and it is still saying this...............please help me fix.............thanx in advance

Have you rebooted or turned the computer off? it is an internal burner........i burned a movie i just copied....i took out the dvd after i burned it and put another one in....so i could burn a different movie..........after a couple of seconds i noticed it converting the movie , i noticed it doing this and hurried up and ejected the dvd.........it was at about 30% complete........now it says the device not ready (logical unit not ready, long write in progress) i haven't rebooted computer .....i will do that now to see if that will fix it......i uninstalled and re-installed imgburn and it stills says device not ready (logical unit not ready, long write in progress)
