write speed miscompare

Sorry to post another topic on this, i can't seem to reply to posts in this forum.

i've been trying to burn games at 1x and it refuses to do so. I get the write speed miscompare, and then it burns it @2.4x

This issue has come up after i upgraded to 2.5.0.0

 

I know the disk's are rated @2.4x but i only want to burn at 1x.I'm also aware they are crappy ritek, i've burned about 50 of these guys so far with out issue up until recently.

Even if i set the AWS to 1x for this disk/device ID it still will show a write rate of 2.4x

Any thoughts on what is causing it to write faster than what i'm telling it to?

Your burner/firmware/media combination only allows 2.4x write speed, which is also the slowest speed allowed by the DVD+R standard (i.e. there's no 1x for DVD+R (DL)). What about you tell us what exactly is the problem you're having?

i'm not having the quality burns that i use to get. Prior to 2.5.0.0 i was able to write at 1x

No you weren't, it's impossible.

 

2.5 is just the first version to tell you when the drive isn't going to burn at the speed you selected.
