aarste Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Hello, I've clean installed Windows 7 today and was previously on XP. I've installed the latest ImgBurn and found that I can't drag and drop selected folders from Windows Explorer to the Build window in ImgBurn anymore. Is there a setting I'm missing to enable this? Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Don't run ImgBurn as an Administrator, just run it normally. If you force it to run under in context of an Admin user then you won't be able to drag and drop from any program that's not also running in that context. This applies to all programs, not just ImgBurn - it's part of the OS's security model.
aarste Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Oh that's very strange, the installer must have started ImgBurn as Admin thinking it was loaded as normal user. Second attempt was to run it as Admin after reading around which didn't work, but now I know both instances were running as Admin. I can drag and drop fine now on 3rd opening of the application normally from the start menu, thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Installers have to run as admin to do their job and so anything they launch continues that trend.
