wallster Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I'm new to Imgburn - just downloaded the latest version. Created a .cue file with no problems at all. However when I select the file and try to write it to disc the destination box is saying 'No writers detected' and the write options are greyed out. I use Windows Vista. Following a lead from another thread, I went into my Device Manager and found that in the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers folder there are 6 files 3 of which appear to be duplicates. I tried to uninstall the duplicates and restart Windows. But when I came back in the duplicates were still there. My IMG log now reads as follows : I 14:54:50 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 What drive are you expecting the program to find? What shows up under the cd/dvd drives section in Device Manager?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Ok well that's not a burner so ImgBurn is displaying everything correctly.
wallster Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 So ... I'm missing a device ? Does this mean I need to download some extra Vista software ? Exactly what kind of device do I need ?
