LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I don't think the old BenQ's support MKM-003-00 discs. Get MKM-001-00 or buy a new drive.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Nope, not really. Either it works or it doesn't. Clean the Samsung and update its firmware. If it still doesn't work then you have 2 choices: 1. Get MKM-001-00 discs. 2. Get a new drive that supports MKM-003-00.

Yeah, forgot to tell you that i use Verbatim discs too, do you think that i should buy Samsung SH-223F instead?
mmalves Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 It would be better if you could get a Pioneer DVR-216/217/218 or an Optiarc AD-7240S.
problem.. Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 So today i bought a Samsung SH-S223B and use the Verbatim DL discs too burn, but it still fails and says: "I/O Error Device:[2:1:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223B SB02 (Fibre) Scsi:0x02 Interpretation: Check condition CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors:0-31 Sense Area: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 73 03 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Error" And here's the log; I 23:05:34 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! mmalves Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I 23:06:27 Destination Media Sectors: 3 827 520 That disc was damaged in a previous failed burn, so try with a brand new one using 6x or 8x speed. You might also want to look for the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or SATA controller (use SIW to find their brand/model if you don't know).

But the problem is that my Xbox 360 only read the speed about 2x-2.4x. Do you know what to do?
mmalves Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 The console only cares about the burn quality and the slowest burn speed doesn't always result in the best burn quality, especially on new burners like yours which are tuned for faster burnings.

Okey, now I've tried to burn it at 6x and it burned successfully and when i start the game at my xbox it works and when I've chosen language it just says cannot read disc, may be dirty. And I've verified it as well.
mmalves Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 If it verified OK then the disc is good. Can you try that disc on another x360?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Do a PIPO scan in DVDInfoPro or a Disc Quality scan in Opti Drive Control so we can see how well the drive burnt the disc. Give 8x a shot too. Did you look at that SIW software to find out which controllers you have on your board? It's not really normal for a drive to show up as 'Fibre'.
