guitfiddler Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I have been using ImageBurn pretty successfully for a while. Just recently I have ran into a string of issues with the burn not being able to play in the DVD player, I have tried several players and the disc will not load. The disc will however play on my computer. I am using Verbatim disc's and have the most recent version of image burn. Any suggestions? Thanks

mmalves Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Try burning at 4x or 6x to see if you get a better burn. You might also want to clean the burner's lens with a cotton bud and some alcohol or using a lens cleaning disc kit.

I'll get the lens cleaned and try another burn.
guitfiddler Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Well cleaning did no good, I un-installed and re-installed and went through manually rather than using the ez-picker and got a good burn, that plays on my DVD player. Thanks for the help!! - Rich
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Reinstalling did nothing, you just got lucky with a drive/firmware/media combo that seems to be having issues.

Yeah, I think you are right. I just tried another back up, and am running into the same issue. I checked to see if there are any driver updates on my burner and I am current. Up until my original post I was not having any issues. Any other suggestions... Thanks
mmalves Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 You could try with Taiyo Yuden blanks, but if it doesn't work with Verbatim blanks then the burner is as good as dead
