lfcrule1972 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 I haven't got one - but the boss probably has !!
lfcrule1972 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&show...indpost&p=13318 I see from the media tests that LUK! has a 4571, not sure what the difference is tho....
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 seem pretty awful actually. lots of firmware fixes needed.
cornholio7 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 a new firmware for the 3550 didnt help things at all, its still terrible
lfcrule1972 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Really ? My 4550A seems fine, altho to be fair I have been mostly using the BenQ - what gives with the NEC's then ?
cornholio7 Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 if i burn more than 8x i get that spike no matter what media
chewy Posted April 13, 2006 Author Posted April 13, 2006 if i burn more than 8x i get that spike no matter what media try to scan with a non benq drive and see what happens to those relinking spikes
polopony Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&show...indpost&p=13318 I see from the media tests that LUK! has a 4571, not sure what the difference is tho.... I've studied this very carefully and the difference is definetly 1
Pain_Man Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 a new firmware for the 3550 didnt help things at all, its still terrible This doesn't bode well for replacing the BenQ with the NEC 3550A. And I'd been hearing good things about it. I'd happily buy another Plextor 716A if the first one hadn't crapped out after only 15 months. My Memorex True-8 (rebadged Pioneer 107) was still going strong when I replaced it with the Pioneer 110D. Only draw back was the 8x limit for 5s and no DL capability at all. Within its limits, it's a great drive. I'm definitely keeping it, in case I ever need a drive in a pinch.
polopony Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 looking at the Nec 4570/4571 the difference is the Nec4571 has a feature called LabelFlash allowing you to burn an image to the top of a DVD I think its like Lightscribe and special discs are necessary
lfcrule1972 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I preferred your answer here - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&show...indpost&p=13852
