PimpSickle Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Hello I have a problem with burning dual layer discs, i was burning them fine a week ago and all of a sudden I started having problems. I cleaned my lens and bought verbatim discs but nothing changed. Here's a log for my last burn. Also I know a few people suggest getting firmware but I can't seem to find it for my drive. LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 That log isn't from you burning a Verbatim disc, it's a one with the RITEK dye. If it won't burn true Verbatims and you've already tried cleaning it, get yourself a new drive.

Sorry about the log it's an older one but yeah i've already wasted verbatims and cleaned my drive 6 times. Are you sure I have to get another drive it burns everything else fine, i was hoping all i needed was firmware for it?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I doubt you'll find one, it's one of those odd model Pioneer drives. By 'everything else', I assume you just mean single layer DVD's and CD's? Obviously they're totally different to double layer DVD's. It's like saying your car runs ok on petrol, why won't it run on diesel, they're both fuels.
