Write Protected BD-RE Discs

What do you mean by "write protected"? Is it a message you're getting while trying to burn with ImgBurn? If it is then post the log.

Please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu). Do you have Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% installed? Or any other burn/optical storage related programs?

Packet writing software is normally the only thing that will block writes to discs.

 

You might have a generic issue there whereby the LG supplied BD discs are awful.

 

That is quite likely, but it has also done it to Panasonic BD-RE discs. The LG writer didn't like the LG discs to start with, but one of the programmes I tried, did get it to work, but it also write protected the disc. I tried Panasonic discs and one of these, the only one I used, became write protected. I dare not use the other one: they are too expensive to waste.

The reader on Imgburn allows me to read the disc. If there was an editor which would let me manually write zeros over the write protection, I think I could salvage the discs.
