mmalves
ImgBurn shows what your burner is "saying", and your burner thinks there's no disc inside. Have you tried with other blanks? Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks should work.

Cynthia
If you insert the disc and use Read mode and then post the info in the right panel window (disc info).
mmalves
ImgBurn shows exactly what your drive is "saying", and yours thinks there's no disc inside. If it's an older DVD burner (the manufacturing date is printed on the label on top of the burner) try getting the 8x rated blanks.

LIGHTNING UK!
Which one has the drive in it that goes along with the 'drive.bmp' image you attached in post 8? The dell or the acer? If it's the Dell, try the E113 firmware update from here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GWA-4164B/files.html
