LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Update ImgBurn. Update XP to SP3. Stick to the 2.4x Verbatim discs (MKM-001-00 dye rather than MKM-003-00), they're compatible with more drives - especially olders ones like yours. Clean the drives with a cleaning disc. Try all the 'supported' write speeds. If all else fails, invest in a new drive.

mmalves Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 That's a great burner, but first check if your motherboard has a SATA port available because that's a SATA burner (your current burner is IDE/PATA).
