genXhippie Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I am attempting to burn avi files to DVD, with no luck. I'm using ImgBurn 2.5 and haven't been able to get it to work in the "Video Disc". When I press the burn option, a message pops up instantly stating, "Failed to create disc image". Oddly though, everything works/burns perfectly if in the "Data Disc" option. But, then that means means only a faction of the DVD's space is available for use. The auto calculate bar only shows 702MB space of the DVD disc. So, basically I can burn the avi files in "Data Disc" mode, but auto calculate bar only goes so far as 702MB of space. Whereas, in "Video Disc" auto calculate bar shows 4.38GB but fails to create image. Is any way solve my problem?
mmalves Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Post the log from when that happened (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 'Data disc' and 'Video disc' ...are you even talking about the same program?! ImgBurn doesn't have anything like that.

Oh... so sorry you are completely right. It's Infrarecorder(also free), but I had just come across this program's name right before posting. Again sorry. Thanks for responding, I really appreciate it. Btw, don't surprised if I show up again after trying out imgburn too.
