Playback skips and rearranges whole chapters randomly

First off, The burn process seems to go fine, just like any other movie, but when I play the movie in my dvd player it just randomly skips whole scenes. Not only that, but it also seems to rearrange the scenes in random order, because when I press the skip button it will go to some random chapter, not the next. It isn't the dvd player because I've tried it on my laptop and I get the same result. It might be the ripping process; I rip using magic dvd ripper and just rip the main movie as to keep the compression down. I know you probably won't have answers as to the ripping process but I just wanted to let you know that that might be the problem. Also, this doesn't happen to every movie. It seems to happen only to bigger movies. So far its happened to transformers 2, star trek, and G.I. Joe. Here is my log for star trek:

All that shows is you using cheapo DVD-RW discs that your drive doesn't really support.

Use some decent write once stuff from Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden and you'll be ok.

The other option is to buy a decent external drive. (yours is a laptop yeah?)

I've been using memorex 4.7 gb discs, which aren't great, but I had a spindle of 100 and I'd say atleast 90 have worked successfully. I also recently bought a spindle of verbatim DL discs and my first unsuccessful attempt at burning Star Trek was on one of those. SO I don't think the discs are the problem. As far as the drive goes, yea I am using a laptop, but I've been able to burn over 150 movies without any problem. This problem has only occurred probably 4 times. So could it still possibly be the drive?

Memorex :/ is crap, period.

Where were the Verbs made?

Laptop >_< drives are crap, period.

Update  ImgBurn now, we don't support earlier versions.

Without discussing transcoding programs, sounds like you need to do some research (Google) on a subject :pirate: that we will not help you with here.

You got a spindle of 100 DVD-RW discs?!

EDIT: oops, I see now that the initial problem was user error on your part.

Why were you trying to erase/format a DVD-R disc?

You realise that can't be done yeah?

Anyway, they're still cheapo rubbish. I mean no offence in saying that, it's just the truth.
