Guys,

I am a newbie to this forum.

I have modded my WII with DRive Key.

I have the DVD drive listed above.

I have burned my ISO on a DVD-R at 4x speed.

I have set the advanced book type to Liteon and stated "Slimtype" in the box and clicked on ok.

It still states its burning a DVD-R, but anyway, it burns the dvd.

I popped it into my WII and it played once, but it will not play again and

any other copies i have made will not work. However the originals work fine.

Can you tell me if i am doing the correct thing when burning?

I will also check to see if Drive key can be the cause.

Does anyone have the same drive as me?

Thanks

ajay

You didn't verify the burn, so we don't know if it's a good burn or not. You can do it manually by using ImgBurn's Verify mode.

Also try burning with higher quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.

You should try those discs on another Wii in order to see if yours is picky about the media it can read.

Ok strange.

This last disc, worked that i did the verify on.

What is special about the verify?

Also the first time i burned a disc with IMGBurn i used the Verify tick box, after that i stopped using it.

But this doesnt answer the question why the disc only worked once.

I hope this helps a bit more. But yes i will get some good discs.

There's nothing special about verify: it simply checks the disc against the source image to see if they match. The disc that worked may have just enough quality to be read by your Wii, and this is where media quality plays an important part.

Im just going to pop down to PC world and get a sample of good discs to see if this works.

From reading on line people recommend Verbatim.

I can pick up a pack of Verbatim DVD-R, 16x .
