I 01:05:27 Shutting down SPTI... I 01:05:27 ImgBurn closed! If you look through, I can see a couple problems that werent there a while ago, firstly, Write speed miscompare or mismatch, when i try to select 2.4x for xbox backups it says it tried but failed and got 4x. Secondly, i probably shouldnt have had verify ticked but i did for some reason, and it popped out my laptops disk thingy, said it could put it back in manually of course, so i popped it back in and then it tried to verify and gave me the OH NOOOOO, Im currently on 8 coasters atm of Verb DVD + R DL 8.5 GB 8x which I know for a fact are the best because I have burned a perfect record until now. Any helps appreciated, I am now trying in clone CD to see if it makes a difference. Thanks! P.s just a quicky as well: If it fails and OH NOOO's when verifying does tht screw up the disk and would in turn make it not work? ta Edited December 3, 2009 by dntel123
mmalves Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I 00:50:14 Destination Device: [1:0:0] TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H AS02 (D:) (ATA) Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try burning again at 6x or 4x.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I 00:50:14 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 3x, 4x, 6x)I 00:50:14 Destination Media Sectors: 4,173,824 I 00:50:14 Write Mode: DVD I 00:50:14 Write Type: DAO I 00:50:14 Write Speed: 2.4x I 00:50:14 Link Size: Auto I 00:50:14 Lock Volume: Yes I 00:50:14 Test Mode: No I 00:50:14 OPC: No I 00:50:14 BURN-Proof: Enabled W 00:50:17 Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x), Got: 4,155 KB/s (3x) Your drive/firmware doesn't support 2.4x on the MKM-003-00 dye - notice how it only lists 3x, 4x and 6x? So that's why you get the write speed miscompare. You pick 2.4x, it (the drive) thinks you're crazy and goes with 3x regardless. Verifying doesn't damage anything, that would just be silly. It does exactly the opposite and detects damage / errors caused by duff burns. Just because your burner has an issue with initialising the burnt disc doesn't mean other drives (inc the xbox one) will do too.

Yer cheers, thing is i went there already downloaded the one for my drive, wouldnt let me do it, bit weird. Also strange is that i swapped and used Clone CD and i had no problem, and now my game backup works, confused.com
mmalves Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 When you used ImgBurn you also didn't get any error at the burning process, but it did come up when ImgBurn went on to verify the burn. If the other program doesn't verify then it isn't a fair comparison, is it?
