Error upon first time use

I've only just downloaded ImageBurn, 15 minutes ago, and when configuring the application I selected 2x as my preferred burn speed. After choosing the file to burn I started the burn and immediately got this error message

Normally this happens when the selected speed (i.e. 2x) isn't listed as a 'supported write speed' for your drive/firmware/media combination.

Look in the disc info panel on the right when you're back on the main screen.

For you though, it looks like the drive is just reporting an odd (or possibly DVD related rather than CD related) write speed. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if I were you, it's just a heads up/warning.

Despite the error the burn was successful. It was an XP Pro iso which I've installed on a laptop with no problems ........... (so far !)
