scarlet72 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Hi all. This is my first post here, so please be gentle. I am currently hvaing issues (I think) creating ISO's of my Blu Rays. I am ripping the discs to my hard drive (main movie only) with AnydvdHD -- Clown BD -- eac3to -- tsmuxer -- imgburn It takes me about 25 minutes to get all the way through the tsmuxer process on 19GB, which seems resonable for my setup. But, when Imgburn takes those files to create an ISO, it takes 90 minutes. My write speed while running Imgburn says .8x . Any idea what the problem might be ? Below is my setup in case it helps: Windows XP SP 3 Pemtium Core 2 Duo E5300 2 GB ram Plextor external Blu ray drive Hitachi 32mb cache 7200RPM 2TB hard drive Edited December 31, 2009 by scarlet72
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 If you're reading and writing 25GB to the same HDD, the could be why it takes so long. It's always much better to read from one drive and write to a totally different (physically) drive. 0.8x still seems slow though, that must be about 3 or 4 MB/s yeah? Have you tried defragging your hdd? Have you tried uninstalling the controller from within Device Manager and rebooting to reset DMA?
