hotboy2020 Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) Ok ive been burnibg with verbatims for quite a while on windows 7 but i went back to windows xp nd i tried to burn a verbatim dl 8.5gb nd my burner say disc not empty or incompatible media..these are new dics nd i bought more just incase of a bad batch but i still get the same message..... If one says 'Unknown' for something then basically, the command failed to execute correctly and I'd expect that to happen again and again (assuming the drive is actually working correctly). Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 Well what I'd do first is get an I/O debug enabled log file (press F8 in the program) where you're in one mode and insert the disc, wait for it to show the 'unknown' stuff, then switch to the other mode where it's no longer 'unknown'. Press F8 to disable I/O debug mode again, save the log and then attach it in your next post. You could also just try the drive in another PC if at all possible and try giving it a clean with a cleaning disc. Does it play nicely if you put an original disc in it? i.e. does all the info show up properly when you do that? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
