Cannot Copy Files from DVD after Burn from ISO/GI

Appreciate a little help,

Trying to copy some files from DVD to a harddrive after burning from ISO / GI files to DVD-R. When attempting to copy the files I get an error message saying "Cannot Copy Drivers: Cannot read from source file or disk"

Also some files I get the error "Cannot Copy filename: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check"

Have I done something wrong in the burning to disk? The software seems straight forward.

Thanks, James.

Here is one sample, I have found a temporary solution to my problem by yanking the files out using a VCD program. So my case is not urgent.

Thanks for that.

By verifying ok, that Matshita drive has said it can read every sector on the disc and as such, it should have no problem copying the individual files back off it. That is of course assuming the original GI image was ok in the first place and that it was interpreted correctly.

Does 'E:\DesktopImageApps\XPSP3v12009.04.01\Disc 1' only contain a single file called 'XPSP3v12009.04.01-1 (1_0).gi' or is it a multi-part GI file? Do the size of the large files add up to roughly what you see in the log file there?

You should be loading the little 2kb file then, not the big ones. Loading the little one will pull in the 2 big ones, at the moment you're only burning part of the overall image - hence the reason for it not working!

If it doesn't let you load the little one, please attach it in your next post or email it to support.

Funny that, I was just in the middle of trying that. Someone at work had told me to use the larger one. From your last post I was guessing along that line.

& I just tested, guess what! That was it thanks.
