Now they wont work at all it keeps saying lo data zone failed power calibration error. I am using verbatim disks as i have always done.I have just tried it at 6x speed but that is the same. LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Invest in a new drive or try getting some MKM-001-00 dye Verbatim discs instead (the 2.4x speed ones).

mmalves Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Your burner barely supports those 8x rated Verbatim blanks, so it could be dirt on the drive's lens, which you can clean using a lens cleaning disc or even manually if you know how to do it, or the drive itself is wearing out. If you can afford an external full size burner (they aren't expensive) you'll get much better quality burns than you ever got with your slim burner.
