thesdf
Hello, I cannot burn at 2x speed. The slower that I can burn in both drives is 4x. Also I cannot search the forum for the term "2x" as the search function doesn't accept so short words, therefore I posted here.
jeff_nz
Why would you even want to? Anyway the supported write speeds are determined by the drives firmware, if you want to write at a speed that's not supported for the media you're using you'd have to create your own firmware for the drive. thesdf
Thanks for your reply. Why would you even want to? It is on the instructions (nfo) of some downloaded folders.
spinningwheel
Burning at 2x at this time is unnecessary regardless of what the .nfo says to do. Most of that came into being before the advent of high speed burners and matching media. Find the speed that your drive likes to burn your media and go for it.
