coldengrey Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I've burned over 55 dl dvd's and never had a coaster - until the last 2.... Have not changed blank media (using Verbatim's from same spindle as last 20+ successful burns). Nor have I changed any settings. I hope these are the correct logs you need: if not sorry - I'll get whatever info is needed. Anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to correct or what's wrong? I'd Really appreciate any info. If you need more or other info let me know. Thanks a lot! -->I've included the IMG Burn Verify Error Report and another Error Log. -->Only thing I can think of as to why suddenly burning coasters after 100 successful is- recently my hard drive has gotten down to around 10GB free (obviously burning nearly that size image on 8GB DL DVD+R's) Here is the IMG Burn Verify: I/O Error! LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. Update ImgBurn. Try some discs from a different spindle.

I've successfully burned over 55 discs- not sure firmware has much to do with it... But I'll give it a shot because nothing else to go with. Can anyone tell what caused the error looking at the logs?
Cynthia Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 The error is an ordinary "can't read the sector" issue. Usually caused by a bad burn.
