The I/O error occurred each run and on the same file name (pursuant to the logs). And, FWIW, ImgBurn truly rocks compared to the other software out there that I tried previously!!! Reviewing changes to my system, I realized I'd installed Virtual Clone Drive (latest release 5.4.3.2) since my last ImgBurn use. Note that after uninstalling VCD, ImgBurn no longer sees the single BD-ROM/HD I had configured. Without VCD installed and no rebooting of Windows, ImgBurn successfully burned the files.
