jkungle Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I just downloaded the newest version of IMGBURN. I selected "Write files/folders" to Disc. I then selected about 30 jpg files from my hard drive. proceeded to burn to "DVD" disc. Then I repeated the same process but tried to burn to "CD" disc. (I have a dual burner). This process took 45 minutes and then hung my system. I could not eject, stop the program in Task Manager, Could not even shutdown. The drive light kept flashing. I then pushed the button to POWER DOWN. re booted and tried it again and it worked?????
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 That's what happens when the drive / your drivers mess up. ImgBurn is just waiting for a response to a command. As soon as it gets one it'll continue - therefore this isn't anything to do with ImgBurn itself, just your system as a whole. Check for firmware/driver updates. Don't put the drive on a RAID enabled controller if at all possible. Oh and if it gets stuck again, copy + paste everything from the log window into a reply.
