ernis Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Read and try the suggestions. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 But i burned in a Verbatim DVD+R DL and I have burned several images before. It still doesn't make any sence
mmalves Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 There's more in that topic than just "use Verbatim" if you actually read it entirely.
ernis Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 W 15:17:10 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance. What does what warning mean?

ernis Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 http://lmgtfy.com/?q=SPTD+can+have+a+detrimental+effect+on+drive+performance Can NERO cause what warning? Because I have uninstalled Daemon tools and I don't have Alkohol but still got a warning.
Cynthia Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Nero is innocent. You need to uninstall the driver. The Daemon uninstaller don't remove that driver. http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads Run the installer in that webpage and select uninstall.

Cynthia Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 You have tried 4x both times. Could try another write speed from the available ones, like 6x or 8x. (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x) If that also fails, then there is something wrong with the drive. Either replace it or try to clean it.

Maybe I'll try to clean my dvd-rom.

ianymaty Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Try the other speeds available 6x, 8x,... Try not using the computer for other heavy tasks like downloding or compression in the same time with the burn?
ernis Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Try the other speeds available 6x, 8x,... Try not using the computer for other heavy tasks like downloding or compression in the same time with the burn? Well, then I am burning an image, I don't use other programs and don't do any difficult tasks, and if I burn higher than 4x, I think the image won't work properly.
Cynthia Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I have burners that burns crappy at low speeds, but great with higher speeds on DL media.
ianymaty Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Don't think that a lower speed will get you a better burn. Maybe this was in the past, but now modern drives are better tuned to burn at higer speeds. Why do you think they produce burners and media to write at high speeds that are available today? Just to wait an hour to burn a DVD, when you could do it in 10 minutes? Think about it! Just give a last try with other speeds available. If that will result in coasters you should replace your faulty drive.
