(i.e. even after a reboot) You really want to leave it enabled if at all possible - and I'd like to know why it keeps saying the handle is invalid. Your drive keeps reporting a 'Write Error' as it tries to burn to the discs you're using - so if I were you, I'd stop using them and get something else! For CD burning we recommend Taiyo Yuden media. For DVD it's Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. If you don't fancy buying new ones just yet then you should try burning at each of the supported write speeds listed for your drive/firmware/media combo.
