Getting a session fixation error writing lead in. Then an I/O error.

Though not using Verbatum, I figured it is descent quality media?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Media is Memorex 8x DVD+R. Disc ID = MBIPG 101-R10-65. I also tried

I am trying to burn a dual layer of custom video/dvd files I authored/encoder via Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0.

I have selecting various layer break positions.

I have successfully burned a DL, (back-up) of a commercial movie/dvd a few days prior.

I wonder if that MID ('MBIPG101-R10-65') is even in the drive's firmware? Probably not.

It's an old drive and that MID is quite a new one.

If you can't get the 2.4x Verbatims, invest in a new drive that supports the MID you want to use.

Thank you for your reply. Just seems odd That I successfully burned two discs a few days ago.

Do you think that the structure of the DVD files from my home movie would make any difference or contribute to a problem(vs commercial DVD back-up)?

Nope, what you're burning makes no difference - the drive doesn't know/care about or understand it.

That's what I thought. Thanx.

With the failure to write sectors, may I assume this means the discs are really blank?

It seems I have to open and close the drawer, to receive a notice of blank media.
