DataNut Posted March 7, 2010 Share Posted March 7, 2010 I can write DVDs without a problem, and read CDs. But when I attempt to write to a CD-R ImgBurn hangs writing the lead, and nothing is written. If you use the Discovery mode to test burn a disc, select the full disc. 1 Sector is nothing, as the disc can hold 359,844 sectors. There is also a later version of the firmware. The 48x looks bogus and is probably coming from something else, ignore it. Using a slower speed was the right thing to try. If 16x or 24x work, stick to using one of those. Ideally you'd invest in some Taiyo Yuden CD's though as they're the best. P.S. I 14:27:55 Abort Request Acknowledged E 14:29:38 Failed to Write Sectors 32 - 63 - Reason: Write Error I 14:29:38 Synchronising Cache... W 14:29:41 User opted to skip the 'Close Track/Session/Disc' functions. E 14:29:41 Failed to Write Image!
