Hi all

I am having trouble with my computer or imgburn. I contracted a computer virus and i had to do a system restore to get it back right. I also had the problem of my programs not opening. I had to choose a program to open with. I then had to get the regeditfix. That restored my programs but imgburn will not burn like it use to. The max speed is between 1.7 and 2.4. I tried deleting the channels in the device manager. I downloaded the new version and reset the settings. I have been using the same media for a while and it always burned with very little problems. My question is how do i get it back up to burning at a write speed or write rate of 8.0? Please and Thank You

Don

Also i run scans of my computer and it doesnt detect any viruses if this info helps.

The speeds are to high to be a DMA issue.

Could you upload this file?

Not the best media, could be that the burner is reverting to a lower write speed strategy due to that. The low average verify rate might also reflect this.

I hope this is what you were looking for. If you can help me get back to a 8.0 that would be so much appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: No, that's not what she was looking for :)

I will attach the file, and yes sir i have set the write speed to 8, 12 and max and it doesnt go above 4.0.

Thanks for your help

*attach* the file to the post, don't copy + paste from it.

Have you tried actually setting the speed to 8x or 12x to see if that makes a difference?

I used different media and its burning fine now thank you all. Now i have another issue. everytime i put a new disc in and burn another imgburn program opens. any ideas as to why?

I would try with some better quality media to see if you can get the speed up. It looks as it has a hard time reading the later part of the disc.
