NavCore Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) Hello everyone !!! I'm new to this forum and I salute you all !!! My OS is Windows 7 x86 and DVD writter --> Pioneer DVR-216D, but I crossflashed firmware, so it's now DVR-216L . . . I'm using ImgBurn everyday and I didn't have any problems with burning. I have one ISO image file that I need to burn with ImgBurn. When I start burning, I get one warning: W Write type: TAO I tried to burn image on my other computer where I have Windows XP installed and LG DVD writter. It burns CD without this warning message ? There are the same "default" ImgBurn settings on both computers. My log file is: I 16:28:38 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 You can't write such a small image in SAO mode, the burner rejects it and thus the program automatically falls back to TAO.
NavCore Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 You can't write such a small image in SAO mode, the burner rejects it and thus the program automatically falls back to TAO. Thanks for quick answer ! Is that a problem ? I just want to know does it affects reading CD or smth ? And, why I didn't get this warning with LG writter ? I'm a novice with this terms: TAO, SAO, DAO . . . etc . . . Thx
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 No, it shouldn't be a problem. I very much doubt you have cause to be burning such tiny discs that often anyway, do you?! And, why I didn't get this warning with LG writter ? I guess your LG drive didn't complain when I asked it to burn the track in SAO mode Some won't burn tracks less than 2 seconds in length (150 sectors). It's a documented design feature (in the MMC specs for drives) and that's why added the fallback within ImgBurn.
NavCore Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) No, it shouldn't be a problem. That's all I want to hear Thanks man ! I very much doubt you have cause to be burning such tiny discs that often anyway, do you?! Yeah Anyway, thanks for helping and have a good time ! ::cheers:: Edited March 24, 2010 by NavCore
