mmalves Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Put the I/O interface back to SPTI, or better yet, reset the program's settings to their default values. Try burning at 6x or 8x. You should also read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
eSkRo Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Nice mmalves!! i was looking for that Thread yesterday to post here for him! thanks!

And i didn't get around to cleaning it, but i honestly doubt that's the issue... Any other suggestions before i resort to buying a new drive? Also, can you recommend one?

You should also read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Good link, it basically told me my disc drive and/or discs im using are garbage. Any other suggestions?
mmalves Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Yeah, read that again and this time pay attention as there's more information there that could help you solve your problem.
kefkuh Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 Yeah, read that again and this time pay attention as there's more information there that could help you solve your problem. Yeah... I've done pretty much everything that thread said to do, except use those Verbatim discs. I'm just asking if there's anything else that the thread doesn't cover before i spend money again.
kefkuh Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 So anyone have any other suggestions? I've done pretty much everything! Also, i recently found out that WMP isn't even detecting my blank CD's when i try to burn? #092; (last time i burned a cd with wmp was a few months ago)
mmalves Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Try with the Verbatim 2.4x blanks, and if it doesn't work with them, then you can be sure your burner is dead.
kefkuh Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 Ok, i can honestly say i tried everything. My burner simply won't burn DVD's Can anyone recommend a good DVD burner?
