theplatinumpanda Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) First time using ImgBurn. I am trying to make an XP boot disk for a friend who has a corrupt registry and no floppy drive, every thing goes fine until the log gets to "Closing Session..." it hangs there doing nothing. This doesn't cause a crash but trying to cancel the burn at this point or closing ImgBurn will cause my whole system to become unresponsive. (I should mention that both systems are OEM) I am running v2.5.1.0 Any help would be appreciated. The log follows (edited to remove name). I 17:45:36 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Use a better (non rewritable) disc. If that drive is in a Dell machine, put the C109 firmware on it. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-H73N/files.html
theplatinumpanda Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 My machine is a Dell and the firmware update worked, I will use DVD-R from now on, I did not realize they were higher quality. Thank you very much.
