I have used imgburn for many years, and i love the program, but the last 5 month i had a lot of bad burns.

sometimes it runs flawless, but then i makes errors all the time. I really dont know what the problem is, and i am pulling my hair, so please help me. <_<

i just uninstalled imgburn and installed again. I hoped that the problem would be fixed, but it did not.

Here is the new log.

Update the firmware on your drive.

http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1541-file_SH-S223C_SB02.exe.html

Are those TYG02 discs proper/real/branded Taiyo Yuden ones?

Have you tried cleaning your drive?

I'd probably just consider getting another one.

Hi Lightning..

Thanks for a quick answer.

I have used those disc many times, with not many errors.

The drive i about 2 month old, so i dont think it should be cleaned.

I will try updating the firmware again, using the link from you..

Thanks again

Meddelin

Beyond the generally acceptable couple of failures in a 100 spindle, no drive should be producing burns on *real* Taiyo Yuden discs that leave the disc unreadable.

If they're TYG02 branded by someone else (perhaps with the exception of Verbatim), that could help to explain things. That's why I asked if they were branded by Taiyo Yuden or not - if you could answer that question I'd appreciate it.

You're right, if the drive is only 2 months old then it shouldn't need cleaning.

But then if it's 2 months old and you're using decent discs (which Taiyo Yuden branded TYG02 are), it shouldn't be producing coasters either.

If it's no better after the firmware update and your discs are the quality they should be, you should consider the drive defective.

Hi Lightning.

The disc are Prodye. Media Code *: MCC 02RG20 . but i dont know if they are "real" Taiyo Yuden disc. I guess not.

But anyway after the firmware update i have no errors thanks to you

I have used about 1500 of those disc, and normaly the run very good, but i will give it a week, and get back to you with the result.

Thx again for your help.

Best regards
