oinkl Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) Right after burning some folders and files onto DVD, folders on the DVD appear as 0kb files in Explorer half the time. If I restart my computer and check the disc, or I check the disc in another computer, the contents look okay(folders appear as folders). This is annoying when I wanna verify the contents of the disc right after burning. I didn't have this problem previously though. Problem started after: 1. I changed my motherboard and had to format/reinstall XP 2. Then I installed a newer version of imgburn(2.5.0.0) (I can't remember what version I had previously) 3. I'm using DVD+Rs now. Previously was using DVD-Rs. (Both Verbatim) Any help? Thanks. [Edit] Just to clarify, this are what the folders look like http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5091/capture20042010111015.jpg If I take out and reinsert the disc, it looks the same. It only fixes itself when I reboot the system and reinsert the disc. Log attached: I 09:56:16 Operation Started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 This looks like an explorer issue more than anything. Ensure autoinsert/play is enabled on the drive/system (so it refreshes properly). Close down ImgBurn too as it blocks certain things when it's open. Try disabling the IMAPI service (the one that handles the OS's built in burning). Don't waste your time burning at 1x... for starters it's not supported by your drive/firmware/media combo and won't produce a better burn than say 8x. Put the SB03 firmware on your drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S223F/files.html
