How Do You Change The Booktype to DVD-ROM in ImgBurn?

that would depend on if your burner supports bitsetting.

you can find a little book on the bottom right hand side of the gui ,click on it and see if your drive is listed

then click on the name of your drive and change current setting

if I create an image with another program and I put it to burn with ImgBurn, will ImgBurn automatically turn into a DVD-ROM thing?

once you set it in imgburn it will remember the setting unless your drive is an LG which resets itself after every reboot

In which case either leave your PC on all the time or remember to reset the booktype before you burn !

Do you have the latest firmware for your drive? It's v.A105. Your log will tell you what version it is. Or post it here and we'll tell you.

Just to add, I run 4 LG drives, and I DO have to set them every time after a reboot.

Just the way they are.

yep, mines got updated to the latest firmware update, yo is DVD-R supposed to get turned into DVD-ROM or is it just the +R's?

I also have an LG - I don't suppose there is a way to parse a command via CLI to set the booktype?

 

This would be a very useful feature for me and my fellow LG'ers.

There's a little program you can add to your startup that'll do it - incase you're not already aware of it

Not that I'm ungreatfull blu, but I'm quite happy to set my drive after a reboot rather than run an another app.

I mean after all it's not all that hard.

That would annoy me having to keep resetting it !! But then I am lazy and would happily run an app every time !!

The apps runs in literally a flash. Opens a tiny dos box and does its stuff.

 

If you blink, you'll miss it.

 

But each to our own.

Yeah each to their own blu - just being lazy your way sounds preferable to me. I know I would forget to do it when I really needed it otherwise !!

Even easier than that. You stick this tiny prog anywhere, Get the appropriate command, and it stick it in HKLM\Software\M$\Windows\CV\Run. A batch file does this for you.

 

Total setup of the process - about 1 minute. Time to run at startup - a flash. Just gotta make sure you don't delete or move the prog (hide it away somewhere).
