Rottenpieces Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 (edited) Hi all. Firstly I just want to put my thanks out to the developers of imgburn I have used this program flawlessly for quite some time now, its never failed me. BUT today I have stumbled upon an issue. Let me start by saying I have used the same media for a long time now, verbatim DVD+R DL discs that are top quality, I have never had an issue with a burn on any problem upto now. Succesfully burned 70-80 maybe more images no issues, TODAY however I have had 4 discs that are worthy for the bin. I am getting an error after burning, "Layouts do not match" now when I take the disc out and have a look, I can see a dull looking ring close the the centre, one thing I have noticed is, the cd always fills when burning an image and there is no space unless it is around the outside edge where there is data, but i can see if i look in certain light a dull ring close to where data first starts burning. If i pop this disc into my xbox 360 it cannot be read at all. Here is my log....firmware on drive is upto date...well is now, and I have tried and failed for the same thing too... DVD burner borked maybe?? LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Switch to Read mode, copy + paste the disc info (panel on the right) from that disc.

I 19:57:04 Destination Device: [1:0:0] TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653B D200 (E:) (ATA)I 19:57:05 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) I 19:57:05 Write Speed: 4x Update your burner's firmware and try the other burning speeds. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps.

Firmware is NOW fully updated, I have tried the burn again with the exact same error. On D300 now.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Perhaps the drive is just dead then. Clean it and try the other supported write speeds though.
