Hi guys, IMG burn rocks first off! So thanks!

My question is regarding book mark changing. MY drive is a Mathshita DVD-R UJ-867 which I believe is Panasonic. I don't see any options under the change book mark menu for my drive. Is there some way I can do this? I just want to burn a DVD + R DL as a DVD - R DL. Thanks in Advance.

Tried to find anything on the net but no luck for that drive regarding book type. Seems to be mostly used in Mac computers.

Not sure why you want to change +R DL media to -R DL media. Sure you are not meaning to DVD-ROM?

Yea I think that what it is. Basically burning a + R Dvd that plays on a DVD-R rom drive. Isn't that what book marking is? But yes it is a drive mac uses but I am in windows via boot camp cause I dig IMG burn. So there is nothing I can do? =(

Have you tried to burn a DL disc and see if the burner changes it to DVD-ROM by default? In many cases the burner do this by itself.

Yes, book type/bitsetting is to change the book type from +R DL to DVD-ROM (same as for pressed discs).

Found an old Mac program that I'm not sure how it works.

Yea that is a pretty old program, but thanks for looking. I assume there is no way to do this with IMG burn? I mean Panasonic also makes drives for PC's. I don't understand.

No, the drive's firmware is preconfigured to burn how it burns (changing the book type (not book mark!) if it wants to).

Unlike with other drives, there are no commands ImgBurn can send to the matshita drives to tell them to change the book type.
