You might think its the burners fault but I burned many backups using this dvd drive. I had a problem before and it was because i had Alcohol 120% installed. Once I uninstalled that it worked perfectly. But now im having this problem again. I have VirtualClone Drive installed and that might be the reason why. But Im not sure. Please help me

please help me. i have already wasted half my verbatim dvd+r dl (2.4x)

(I Cant seem to reply, it says "You cannot reply to this topic" so ill reply here) The Verbatim DVDs are made from singapore.I dont have a cleaning disc, but i was thinking about getting rubbing alchohol and cleaning the lens with that. And hopefully I dont have to get a new drive since i dont have any cash right now.

This is the real error.

W 16:57:46 Failed to Write Sectors 1504 - 1535 - Reason: Peripheral Device Write Fault

Where are your Verbatims made? Look on the box/tub/packet.

Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.

If it still doesn't work, get another spindle of discs (some made in Singapore if possible) and try those.

After that I'd just get a new drive.

You can try cleaning the lens with a cotton bud and rubbing alcohol, but be very careful. You already have the best media you can get on the market, so if cleaning doesn't solve the problem then you'll need to use another burner.
