I am using AONE PLUS GOLD EDITION DISCS (as you can probably tell from the log) and I have been using these discs for a long long time without any problems until now. I have tried 3 spindles of them now. It's getting very costly.

I am using a Samsung DVD-RW drive (IDE connect).

I read somewhere on this forum that it could be the IDE port of something and the person helping wanted to see a ScreenPrint of the Device Manager - so I have attached one just in case it helps you diagnose this.

AND POSSIBLY VERY IMPORTANT - I have just remembered that I recently re-installed my OS (Win 7 Enterprise - I did not do a full format either!) and this error MAY have coincided with that. If all else fails I will try a clean install

If you need any more info from me, of course just ask and I really appreciate any help received.

Thanks

Thanks to LightningUK for replying to my previous post regarding an I/O Error at 10-12% on virtually all of my burns. This post is for all of those who suffer a similar problem and have been using the same discs for years without any problems.

I do not have a clue what that actual cause of the error was/is but I had tried everything (except pay for Verba discs!! - that was going to come next but not needed now). I re-installed Windows (after a hard disc format) and now it works great!!!

There is hope for my beloved AONE DL DVD-R. Still the best value Xbox 360 Backup disc.

Thanks again for all those who run this site and offer so much help and a great free service!!!!

IMGBURN ALL THE WAY !!!!!

Reinstalling Windows isn't what fixed your problem: you probably just reached a blank that wasn't as crappy the ones that failed before.
