Good evening everyone, I'm Italian and sorry for my english.

I would like to ask your help to resolve my big problem.

I have windows 7 professional 32 bit installed on my pc.

I have two pair of dual layer dvd-rw burner:

1) IDE - Pioneer dvr-116D

2) SATA - LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50

With this burners when I try to burn double layer they arrive at the end of the operation "0% Synchronising Cache" and the disc never close and exit.

I've tried all the possibility solution like:

1) Try other mastering software like Nero, Ashampoo etc, but the result is the same.

2) upgraded the lg firmware from original lg site, but nothing change.

3) I try to uninstall SPTD driver that came with daemon tools but nothing change.

Please help me for setting or try a solution.

the two burner function perfectly with windows vista in the same pc, the system installed before windows 7.

Thanks and goodbye

Hi Cynthia, attached you see my imgburn log, but I think It doesn't contain the information who wrote when Imgburn try to "0% syncronysing cache", beacuse when it stay for 1 hour I reset the computer beacuse the disc never get out from burner.

When imgburn try to write the lead out, with f8, he tell me this: "Unit Not Ready, Long Write in Progress" and it remain forever.

This for all two burner.

I'll use the SPTI Microsoft I/O interface. I've tried to use Patin Couffin but same result.

I'm the PC administrator but it is necessary to start the program with right click and the administrative3 rights?

Thanks for all and for your help.

Have you installed these drivers?

Hi, sorry for the late response.

I've made some other tests. I've installed Windows 7 64 bit because I've a notebook with windows7 64 bit with another lg burner model and IMgBurn installed. I tried to burn in the notebook and the disc finalising well. So I thought was windows 32 bit.

When I've installed windows 7 I've installed 64 bit driver of motherboard, all driver in the page, lan, sata driver, audio, video card etc etc., but the result is the same.

Another thing I don't know, how it is recognized the burner in the bios. The burner is sata burner and in the bios I must set "RAID" in the SATA controller, beacuse I have two 500gb hard disk in raid 0. I cannot set the function of single SATA motherboard controller.

It is correct or not?

Thanks for all

Goodbye

Your controller in RAID mode could be messing with the communication to the burner, so if you can't set it to normal SATA mode you'll have to get another SATA card to use with your burner.

Hi, I was thinking the problem is the controller in RAID mode, but the stranger thing is that the LG Burner(SATA) and Pioneer 116D (EIDE) work perfectly in windows vista with the same hardware configuration/setting and cable. In windows 7 32 and 64 bit not.

Now I've ordered Samsung Super Write Master (SH-S223C) that have certified logo win 7 compatible from Microsoft.

What do you think about this burner? Thanks for help.

Goodbye
