sdqaguy Posted September 18, 2010 Share Posted September 18, 2010 Hi I am new to using ImgBurn and I have encountered this error while burning an ISO image to a CD-R disc using a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-862 RB01 burner. The OS on the computer is XP SP3. The Error (from the log)= Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format. I have searched the forum and I have not seen this exact error under my circumstance. My questions: Is it likely this error is specific to my hardware? Is it likely this error is specific to my media? LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 18, 2010 Share Posted September 18, 2010 You got a 'Write Error'. Try the other supported write speeds. Try buying some better CDs (you want Taiyo Yuden, they're the best). These errors always come down to a bad drive/firmware/media combo. Changing any one of them could fix the issue.
