Hello everyone,

Recently I'm having a problem with burning Dual Layer CD's.

Last time I burned a Dual Layer CD it took 2 HOURS (!). Usually , with write speed of *2.4 it takes no longer than 40 minutes.

I'd like to mention that this is not the first time I Burn a CD, and it's very weird.

You may take a look:

Update ImgBurn

Put XP SP3 + all the other windows updates on - unless you have a specific reason not to.

Your drive is getting on a bit now, the last firmware release was 2006.

It probably doesn't support the 'CMC MAG-D03-64' dye very well in the first place.

Your issue looks like it's DMA related. Once you've updated ImgBurn, use the 'Reset DMA' option in the Tools menu.

You can also read the DMA post in the FAQ.
