aloe Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Using ImgBurn, I've burnt some audio CDs from mono mp3 tracks (11025Hz sample rate). They burnt OK and verified OK but don't sound right; they sound tinny as if some frequency bands have been missed out. Any comments or ideas?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The DirectShow filters used in the conversion must be doing a bad job. I don't pick and choose them, I just provide DirectShow with the source file and tell it the output format I require - it does all the stuff inbetween.

I guess I need to convert them to wav files first then. Can I just add, I feel honoured to be spoken to by a/the creator of ImgBurn. This is the first problem I've had with it and it is my burning app of choice having tried a good few free ones - at least it was until I went over to Ubuntu. I use K3B there, but that doesn't verify audio CDs, so I need to get ImgBurn working under Wine or VirtualBox. Thanks for a fantastic bit of software.
