Nick I Posted October 24, 2010 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Hello all, I am trying to determine if my drive has begun to fail or I have media issues. Listed below are the particulars of my setup. Windows XP Pro SP3 Drive: SONY DVD RW DW-D22A BYS6 (ATA) Media: Disc ID: 97m24s16f (Sony from CostCo) I have received multiple types of error messages and they are listed in the attached Word file. If that doesn't work you could either get some Taiyo Yuden CDs or invest in a new drive - even the most recent firmware update for yours is over 5 years old.
