n1cecupoftea Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Hi, This may well be a stupid question but after doing lots of searching I still cannot find an answer to it: I am currently using a desktop and a laptop to make images of lots of DVDs using ImgBurn which is obviously an great piece of software. I am encountering an odd issue with my desktop PC which always shows the main buffer as 0%, it never goes up at all. The desktop still creates the images and they work perfectly but I am confused as to why the main buffer never goes above 0%. I am certain this is an issue with my desktop PC and not an ImgBurn problem but would still appreciate any help that anyone can offer. The desktop PC is still creating the images twice as quickly as the laptop. Thanks in advance.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 It's not an issue at all. Remember you're reading rather than writing... as such, you WANT no buffering. If it's buffering during a read it means your optical drive is reading quicker than your hdd can write.
n1cecupoftea Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Thanks very much for your reply. I guessed it was probably a silly question. Again great piece of software
