Hello,

I have used ImgBurn in the past without any problems. I am running windows xp professional with all the updates. I wanted to write an .iso file to disk and followed the steps I had done in the past and as shown on the link http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61 and http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=screenshots

However, it was unable to write the .iso file. I started to burn the image but then I got an I/O error. I then clicked to retry and got another I/O error so selected cancel. I do not understand since I have used these discs in the past without any problems.

I have attached a word document where I pasted copies of the error screens that I got as well as a copy of the log file.

Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks So Very MuchIMG Burn error.doc

Even if it worked before, something about your drive/firmware/media combo just isn't playing nicely now.

As all you've got there is a 5+ year old CD drive, I'd probably take the leap to a DVD burner.

Your drive is ancient and don't recognize correctly the new media.

A lens cleaning disc might help but your best deal is to buy a modern drive, they are realy cheap these days.
