Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed! - Reason: No Additional Sense Information

Hello,

 

I always get the following error "Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed! - Reason: No Additional Sense Information " with my new DVD-Burner from LG. I use Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL and i made an update with the newest firmware 2.0 for the LG Burner.

I'm just guessing, but did you make sure to keep the option checked at 'calcuate optimal' for DL media (unless you are burning an xbox360 disc, then you do need to specify where the layer break is) under the write tab in the settings?

 

Also you seem to be trying to burn at 2.4x while the media you have can only support 4x, change the write speed to set at least 4x.

Hello,

When the error message comes, i choosed "weiter (next)". The writing process was successful, but i don't know,that the burned DVD is ok.

Try burning with another computer, and if that doesn't work, then you'll need to use another USB enclosure with that burner.

It could be driver/enclosure related - it's returning a bogus error with no real information about it.

 

Switch to Read mode and copy + paste the disc info from the box on the right when that disc is in the drive.

 

(merged your 2 threads... this one probably makes less sense now, sorry )
